Department, established in 1967 Department gave birth to Environment Study Research, Environment Club & Vermi compost unit. Department motivated students to join B Ed, Medical, Paramedical and P.G. courses. The personal care with a human touch and total involvement of the staff, lead to 100% Result for the Past SIX years, and attracted the students to opt Zoology as one of the optional.

• Revision of Syllabus, Theory & Practical's are conducted for slow learners.
• Assignments/Group discussion is conducted for slow learners.
• Seminars/Projects are assigned to advanced learners.
• Study Tours for collection of specimens are arranged annually.

Programme: B.Sc. (CBZ)

Programme Objective:

• To give need based education in Zoology of the highest quality at the undergraduate level.
• Perform experiments and interpret the results of observation, including making an assessment of experimental uncertainties.
• To develop skills and enthusiasms of students to the best of their potential.
• Use Information Communication Technology (ICT enabled) to gather knowledge at will .Attract outstanding students from all backgrounds.

Programme Outcomes:

• Students of Biological Science are expecting to inculcate scientific thinking and awareness.
• Understand the basic concepts, fundamental principles, and the scientific theories related to various scientific phenomena of Zoology.
• Acquire the skills in handling animal’s & scientific instruments in the laboratory, and performing experiments in a proper manner. Explain the basic scientific principles and methods.
• Analyze the techniques & applications of Biological Sciences to the problems in Zoology.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Physics was established in the year 1967. The Department has spacious laboratory for all kinds of experiments along with one dark room for optics experiments. Both laboratories are well furnished and well equipped with scientific instruments. The Department has experienced and dedicated faculty members. One faculty member is pursuing Ph.D. The Department has implemented CBCS (Choice based credit system) scheme for V & VI Semester and NEP scheme from 2021-22 for I to IV semester, as per UGC regulations. Our department has one computer &one laptop with internet connection. Physical science students of our college have been placed in various sectors

The Department of Chemistry was established in the year 1967. The department has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty. At present there are 2 teaching faculty and one non- teaching staff. The Department has spacious laboratory for all kinds of experiments along with one instrumentation room and store room. Both laboratories are well equipped with scientific instruments. The Department has implemented CBCS (Choice based credit system) scheme for V & VI Semester and NEP scheme from 2021-22 for I to IV semester, as per UGC regulations. Department is involved in extension activities. Our students have been placed in various sectors.

SCOPE OF THE SUBJECT AFTER GRADUATION:

Students may pursue masters and PhD programmes in the following programmes at central universities or state universities: Organic chemistry, Inorganic chemistry, Physical chemistry, Industrial chemistry, Biochemistry, Medicinal chemistry, Food science, Forensic science, Material science, Nano Science research and etc. Students have job opportunities in various sectors like work as teacher; can work as analytical chemist in industry and biochemist in laboratories.
