Hyderabad Karnataka region is unique for its great philosophical movements, mixed food culture, many dialects and its humble and rustic people. But its charm was lost for a few centuries as Hyderabad Karnataka region lagged far behind in the field of education at the time of Indian Independence. The Region was ruled by the Nizams of Hyderabad, whose concern and interest towards their subjects' their welfare, or education was simply nilled. In such times of the draught of empathy, knowledge, and aspiration, Sri Mahadevappa Rampure, the founder President of H.K.E Society and a great educationist and visionary, laid the foundations of H.K.E Society in 1958.

Sri. Mahadevappa Rampure's conviction to fill the gap of lack of higher education for the poor, backward, and rural students, led to the start of Ms. Irani Degree College of Science, Arts, and Commerce in the year 1967. The college stands by the values which the founder president Sri Mahadevappa Rampure had espoused. Even today 75 percent of the admitted students of the college belong to poor, backward and minority categories coming from rural areas, indicating its contribution to the betterment of young pillars of the region.

The college is spacious with greenery, nurtured for a harmonious learning atmosphere with spaces for pupils to relax and learn under a shade. The insides of the college have well-equipped laboratories for science students, a spacious library with more than 25000 books, and with internet facilities. The college also has a computer lab with well-furnished computers with network connectivity. The college has highly learned, experienced, and committed faculty and the majority of the teacher are doctorates with publications and research experience. Above all, the teaching and non-teaching staff is always friend and they guide their students.

Apart from its relentless contribution to the district and the region, this college is has given notable and significant contribution to the nation, as many of the students of the college have become doctors, professors, Chartered Accountants, teachers, police officers, lawyers, noted businessmen. This affirms that a better college is a hope for a better tomorrow. For the record, the college also celebrated its golden jubilee in the year 2018. Presently, under the present management of Sri. Shashil G. Namoshi, MLC and the Principal Prof. Rohinikumar S. Hilli, the college will definitely scale new zeniths and stands as an inspiration for the legacy of the college.
